Milling of aerospace alloys using supercritical CO2 assisted machining

چکیده

Novel “sub-zero” cooling methods are an emerging technology employed in machining of aerospace alloys that has been the focus substantial ongoing research. A series different media have used effort to decrease friction and amount heat generated cutting zone. This study focused on use supercritical carbon dioxide (scCO 2 ) as a coolant face milling titanium alloy Ti-6Al-4V. Traditional flood emulsion was compared with through tool scCO well minimum quantity lubrication (MQL).
